Starting Sunday, Oct. 11, the City of Tulsa will begin again to collect disposal fees from commercial customers and non-residents at the City’s Mulch Site located at 2100 N. 145th East Ave. A new payment process is in place that does not require customers to sign their names, thereby reducing customer/staff interaction.
The fees amount to $0.55 per cubic yard of material brought to the site for disposal. Anyone disposing of debris commercially, such as a commercial tree or landscape company, as well as non-City of Tulsa residents will be assessed this fee.
As always, residents of the City of Tulsa can dispose of material without charge if the material was generated at their residence. Residents should bring either a driver’s license with a Tulsa address or a current utility bill to show that they are Tulsa utility customers.
Residents of Broken Arrow, Bixby and Jenks with wood debris from their personal residence are not required to pay this fee if they produce a completed manifest upon entry into the mulch site. This manifest can be obtained from their municipality’s website.
This is not a new fee, as it was in place prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. Fees are as follows:
Pickup Truck | 3yd |
$0.55 per
cubic yard |
Trailer < 10 Feet | 3yd | |
Trailer > 10 Feet | 5yd | |
Dump Truck | 10yd | |
Tandem Truck | 13yd |
