Tulsa Mobility Innovation Strategy, funded through Improve Our Tulsa, is under way with the goal of assisting our city as it adapts to new forms of transportation and prepares for future modes of travel.
To provide more accessibility and convenience for those with municipal citations, Tulsa Municipal Court will start Thursday Night Court starting September 7, 2023. During Thursday Night Court, Tulsa Municipal Court hours will extend its hours until 7 p.m. to accommodate individuals with obligations during regular court hours who may find it challenging to appear for their citations.
Capital project construction contracts bid from April through mid-October 2020 broke a record for the City of Tulsa: 64 contracts valued at a total of $239.9 million. These contracts were for many kinds of projects – improvements to the water, sewer and stormwater systems, street rehabilitation and widening, maintenance and improvements to parks and other public facilities, and construction of Vision Tulsa economic development projects.
Mayor G.T. Bynum, Community Service Council (CSC) and Oklahoma Veteran Alliance recognized 14 companies Monday for becoming Veteran Employer Champions. Thursday we had the honor of hosting the Third Children’s Naturalization Ceremony at the Gathering Place. Bynum and forensic scientists and genealogists from Intermountain Forensics, the laboratory assisting the City with DNA analysis for the 1921 Graves Investigation, announced a historic update as it relates to the DNA and genealogical investigation from the 2021 and 2022 excavations and exhumations at Oaklawn Cemetery.
