City of Tulsa Prepared for Winter Weather 2020

With the sudden temperature changes in recent days from warm to cool and cold, the City of Tulsa has geared up preparations in case Tulsa receives some early winter weather. The Streets and Stormwater Department is watching weather forecasts and conditions to be ready for whenever the first winter storm comes, and for other storms that may occur this season.

Adopt-A-Stream Program - community volunteers can "adopt" a waterway in Tulsa to help our community and the natural habitat of our local streams.

Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the following 24-hour emergency numbers: water – (918) 596-9488, and sewer – (918) 586-6999. Residential refuse, recycling, yard waste and bulky waste all will be collected on Monday according to the regular schedule.

Construction of the Mingo Creek Trail between East 41st Street and East 51st Street is scheduled to begin on Monday, Feb. 18. The trail will extend from East 41st Street near South 102nd East Avenue to East 51st Street near South 103rd East Avenue.

The new Student Success and Career Center on the Tulsa Community College Southeast Campus revolutionizes the college onboarding and career process. Designed with the student in mind, the facility allows students to meet with answer center specialists, academic advisors, career specialists and local companies. The $5.3 million facility, part of the Vision Tulsa package approved by voters in 2016, is now part of the campus at 10300 E. 81st Street.
