2020 Office of the Mayor Annual Report Released

Mayor G.T. Bynum shared the 2020 Office of the Mayor Annual Report, which consists of a variety of programs, projects and events his team at the City of Tulsa worked on the past year, all during a global pandemic.

The three eastbound lanes on East 71st Street just west of Mingo Road (9808 E. 71st St.) are closed due to pavement buckling, likely heat related. Traffic is detoured around the closure.

Mayor Bynum Recognizes Veteran Employer Champions

Mayor G.T. Bynum, Community Service Council (CSC) and Oklahoma Veteran Alliance recognized 14 companies Monday for becoming Veteran Employer Champions. The Veteran Employer Champions program was created after a statewide survey was launched at a Governor’s Veteran Symposium in October 2017 with the goal of building an employer network to create programming and peer-to-peer learning for organizations interested in recruiting, hiring and developing veterans in the workplace.

City Facilities to Close Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28-29, for Thanksgiving

City offices will be closed on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Thursday and Friday refuse customers will see a shift in their service. The City's Mulch Site, Park Rec Centers, Animal Welfare, Mohawk Park and Page Belcher Golf courses, and Tulsa Transit will all be affected by the holiday. Please "read more" for details on each.

City Hall, Facilities Closed Monday, Jan. 21, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

City Hall and other City facilities will be closed on Monday, Jan. 21, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Public safety and mission critical operations, however, will operate as normal. Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the following 24-hour emergency numbers: water – (918) 596-9488, and sewer – (918) 586-6999. Residential refuse, recycling, yard waste and bulky waste all will be collected on Monday according to the regular schedule.
