Mayor Bynum Presents Recognition Awards to Two City Employees

Monday, May 8, during a special employee recognition ceremony at City Hall, Mayor G.T. Bynum presented a Michael P. Kier Tulsa Blue Award to Pete Cheek for his outstanding service and a City Star Award to Patrick McManus for his work in improving the safety culture at the City of Tulsa.

Dangerous Hanging Tree Limb Removal Continues Across Tulsa

City contract crews continue to remove overhanging or unstable branches, limbs, or trees in the right of way or public spaces following the June 18 storm. More than 45,000 hanging branches in the public rights-of-way, over sidewalks, and in Parks have been identified for removal. Currently, 14,191 have been removed.

Virtual “Stock the Station” Food Drive Kicks Off Nov. 8

The City of Tulsa will kick-off its 11th Annual Stock the Station Food Drive on Monday, Nov. 8 that will help Tulsans in need this holiday season. However, this year’s food drive will be virtual, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of dropping off non-perishable food items at City facilities, residents can make a monetary donation to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
