Work has begun also on West Sixth Street between South Denver and Boulder avenues as part of a street rehabilitation project that started in February on Boulder Avenue between West First Street and West 10th Street.

Traffic is limited to one lane in each direction on Sixth Street between Denver and Boulder avenues. These lane closures are scheduled to be in effect until the end of September. Crews currently are replacing a 30-inch waterline at that location.

With work also in progress on Boulder Avenue between Sixth and 10th Streets, traffic at that location is limited to two northbound lanes until the end of June. Then work will move north to between Sixth and First streets.

The project includes street rehabilitation, waterline replacement, conversion of Boulder Avenue from one-way to two-way traffic, as well as adding bicycle lanes on the west side of Boulder Avenue and on both sides of Sixth Street.

The City of Tulsa has contracted with Becco Contractors Inc. for this $4,415,000 project, funded by the 2014 Third Penny Sales Tax (Improve Our Tulsa). The project is scheduled for completion in February 2020.
