City of Tulsa streets crews have worked since yesterday evening treating roads for the freezing rain and ice. With temperatures rising and additional rain coming in, officials anticipate any remaining slushy areas will melt, leaving wet roadways this evening. Temperatures are expected to remain above freezing overnight, and street management will continue to monitor bridges, hills, and overpasses for any re-freezing that occurs. As of 4 p.m. today, all main city roads are in good shape and are passable.
After winter weather hits and temperatures stabilize, street crews will begin to shift their focus on pothole repair. The City is asking residents to help report these potholes by utilizing 311. Residents can report online at www.Tulsa311.com, through the Tulsa311 app, or by calling 311. Crews will prioritize potholes based on street damage and address other potholes between rain events.
Since last Sunday, the City has had 130 water main breaks, completed 120 of the requests, and is currently working on 10. If you see a waterline break on a City street or in a right-of-way, call (918) 596-9488. Before calling, the best way to check to see whether the break has already been reported is through the City's waterline break dashboard, which can be found online at www.cityoftulsa.org/breakboard.
Trash & Recycling
Haulers will resume collecting trash on Tuesday. We kindly ask for your patience and request that you leave your cart at the curb for collection. For those who have backyard service, please ensure that the haulers can access your gate. They will make every effort to collect everything by the end of the day on Friday but will work on Saturday if needed.
There will be no recycling collections this week due to a planned outage for the recycling plant on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please place any extra recycling in a recyclable container next to your recycling cart for collection next week.
Bulky waste collections will be delayed by one day. Crews will start Monday's route tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 23. They will pick up Tuesday and Wednesday's routes on Jan. 24 to get back on track for the rest of the week. All routes should be picked up by Jan. 26.
Warming Stations
City Facilities, Tulsa Animal Welfare and Tulsa Parks

AMR/True Reads Update
This morning, the City's True Reads program contractors completed the first installation and continued to work throughout the day. Crews expect to proceed tomorrow with no issues. The program's primary goal is to replace 145,000 residential water meters with new automated ones. Furthermore, the program involves a thorough examination of the material used for the service line.
