Two lanes are closed and traffic is limited to one lane in each direction on South Utica Avenue between East 20th Street and East 22nd Street until mid-June for reconstruction of the intersection of South Utica Avenue and East 21st Street.

This work is part of a street rehabilitation project in progress on East 21st Street between South Peoria Avenue and South Lewis Avenue. The project consists of removing the old road including subgrade and rebuilding up from the road bed. Construction includes new concrete pavement, new waterlines, new storm sewers and sanitary sewers as needed, new curb, gutter and sidewalks. Traffic signals will be replaced at the intersections of Utica, Wheeling, Yorktown and Lewis avenues.

The project is scheduled for completion in summer 2017. Construction near Utica Square will stop during holiday shopping in November and December of 2016.

The City of Tulsa has contracted with Becco Contractors Inc. for this $9,392,000 project funded by the 2008 Third Penny Sales Tax (Fix Our Streets).
