The Tulsa Planning Office is pleased to announce the launch of the Neighborhood Conditions Index (NCI) Resource Center, a new initiative to empower Tulsans and drive positive change in their neighborhoods.
The NCI Resource Center, a comprehensive extension of the existing Neighborhood Conditions Index (NCI), is designed to provide residents with access to a wealth of resources. These resources, available citywide through local organizations, partners, and the City of Tulsa, aim to guide residents in taking action toward creating meaningful change within their neighborhoods. This comprehensive approach ensures that residents have all the tools they need to make informed decisions and drive positive change in their communities.
Moreover, the NCI Resource Center provides guidance by recommending specific actions and connecting residents to a variety of resources, including services, programs, and other tools enabling residents to collaborate with the City of Tulsa and partner organizations.
The Resource Center, accessible at
www.tulsaplanning.org/nci, is designed with the user in mind. It provides residents with easy navigation through the resources, organized by category, such as land use, transportation, or economic development, and specific data points from the NCI reports. This user-friendly arrangement ensures that residents can conveniently access the information they need to make informed decisions and take effective action to improve their neighborhoods, empowering them to take control of their community's future.
The NCI Resource Center follows the release of the Neighborhood Conditions Index (NCI) last fall, a collection of data-driven reports highlighting both the strengths and opportunities for improvement in the 80 neighborhood groupings across Tulsa. These reports offer scores for more than four dozen data points under nine categories, giving residents a comprehensive understanding of their immediate area.
