Tulsa Parks is pleased to announce that it is hiring seasonal staff, including lifeguards and camp counselors, for the upcoming summer season of 2024.

The seasonal positions will start in late May and run through the summer. The department is looking to fill these positions to ensure that summer day camps can operate without program restrictions and pools can avoid closures.

To apply, interested applicants can visit the links provided in the job descriptions. Additionally, there will be a Seasonal Job Fair at Centennial Center, 1028 E. 6th St., on April 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., where interviews will be conducted on-site.

Hiring incentives will be offered to returning lifeguards and pool managers. Lifeguard and Pool Manager applicants must be strong swimmers, at least 16 years old, and certified in Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR for Pro-Rescuer, and First Aid. YWCA Lifeguarding certification is also accepted. Lifeguards who want to teach American Red Cross swim lessons must have Water Safety Instructor certification. If applicants need to be certified, they can work with the Tulsa Parks Aquatics Coordinator to acquire certification.
