America Recycles Day is November 15; Tulsa Celebrating with Plastic Bag Collection at Parks Recreation Centers

With the annual America Recycles Day approaching on Nov. 15, the City of Tulsa is celebrating throughout the month of November by collecting plastic shopping bags at Tulsa Parks recreation centers. Since plastic bags are not recyclable through Tulsa's curbside pickup, this provides a way for Tulsans to dispose of the bags correctly. Plastic bags cause contamination in the regular recycling carts.

Plastic bags of any color may be dropped off in the marked bins at the recreation centers Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. To find a Tulsa Parks recreation center, see www.cityoftulsa.org/parkcenters.
