Tulsa Animal Welfare Extends Summer Hours

Now it’s even easier to adopt a shelter pet this Summer!

Starting July 6, the Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter will extend their hours on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 2 to 8 p.m. Hours will also be extended on Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

Readjusting the shelter’s hours of operation will allow residents more time to visit the facility and eliminate a barrier to shelter adoptions.

The shelter will be closed on Wednesdays to allow TAW staff to participate in extensive job training with industry experts from the Best Friends Animal Society.

If you are interested in adopting a new pet, visit Tulsa Animal Welfare at 3031 North Erie Avenue during the following hours:

• Sunday, Monday, Friday, and Saturday - noon to 6 p.m.
• Tuesday and Thursday - 2 to 8 p.m.
• Closed Wednesdays
