Travis Hulse has accepted the City of Tulsa’s Housing Policy Director position – a role in the Mayor’s Office tasked with carrying out the City’s comprehensive Affordable Housing Strategy.
Hulse, who starts in his new position next week, will serve as the City’s leader in housing policy and strategy and will play an important role in making Tulsa a city where everyone has access to quality, affordable housing.
“Travis has a strong track record as a data-driven public servant and has been an important guide in the City’s policy development during his time at the Tulsa Planning Office,” Mayor G.T. Bynum said. “I am excited for him to join us in improving housing outcomes across the city.”
Hulse, most recently a Principal Planner with the Tulsa Planning Office, worked at the City of Tulsa for a number of years in several planning positions before moving to the Indian Nations Council of Government (INCOG) and the Tulsa Planning Office to practice similar job functions.
“I’m extremely humbled and honored to continue serving Tulsa, now working closely with Mayor Bynum to focus on the housing needs of Tulsa,” Hulse said. “Housing is a multifaceted subject that affects everyone living in Tulsa. There are numerous efforts underway, and I look forward to working with the growing list of community partners who are committed to making a difference.”
