The City of Tulsa is receiving bids for surplus property online at the Purple Wave auction website through Dec. 14. Bidding ends on Dec. 14 at varied times. Bidders should check Purple Wave for ending times.

More than 200 items are up for bids this month. These include a backhoe, tractor, trucks, shuttle buses, SUVs, cars, tools, office furniture and equipment, computers, printers, electronics, exercise equipment, appliances and more. Tulsa Transit will receive the money from the sale of the buses.

Other local government entities are participating in the auction, including the Tulsa City-County Library, which is selling a 20-foot-tall Christmas tree that had been used to decorate the Central Library. A photo on the auction website shows the tree stretching from one floor to the one above it, positioned near the stairs. Since it was remodeled five years ago, the Central Library has a new Christmas tree that coordinates with the library’s mid-century architecture.

Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office also is participating in the auction, selling two cars and Oklahoma Statute books – hardcover books with paper pages, for those who would like to have physical books of records that are now online.
