A street rehabilitation project on East First Street, from South Lansing Avenue to South Elgin Avenue, will begin during the week of Aug. 7. Completion of the project is scheduled for the end of 2017 or early 2018, weather permitting.
Two lanes of traffic (one way, going west) will be open on First Street at all times during this project. From August to October, the south side of First Street will be closed. From October to the end of the project, the north side of First Street will be closed.
This project includes waterline and storm sewer improvements, pavement rehabilitation, and streetscaping on the north sidewalk. The City of Tulsa has contracted with Crossland Heavy Contractors for this $1,493,000 project funded by the 2014 General Obligation Bond (Improve Our Tulsa).
