A street maintenance project will begin at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30 on Third Street between Greenwood Avenue and the bridge over U.S. 75. Traffic will be limited to one westbound lane during this project, which is scheduled for completion on Nov. 2.
This project consists of milling – removing the top 2 inches of pavement, and then paving with a new 2-inch layer of asphalt.
This work is part of a project that also includes repaving of Archer Street between Guthrie and Boulder avenues and Main Street between Sixth and 15th streets. The City of Tulsa has contracted with Ellsworth Construction for this $1,288,352 project. Funding has come from the 2014 Improve Our Tulsa Third Penny Sales Tax.
