The recent warm weather has many people in the mood to start spring cleaning and working in the yard.
Free mulch for flower beds and gardens is available at the City of Tulsa Mulch Site, 2100 N. 145th East Ave. The Mulch Site is open Monday through Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and closed on Sundays. The mulch is free to Tulsa residents and nonresidents while supplies last. Firewood is also free while supplies last.
When clearing away tree branches, grass clippings and leaves from the yard, residents of Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Jenks or Bixby can drop off this material at the Mulch Site free of charge by showing a driver's license, current city utility bill or manifest from their community. Commercial businesses and residents outside of these named communities will need to pay in advance for dropping off yard debris. See www.cityoftulsa.org/mulch for details.
