The Mayor’s Office of Resilience and Equity (MORE) is hosting a virtual Equity Dialogue on Tuesday, January 16, from 6 –7:30 p.m. to coincide with the National Day of Racial Healing.
Mayor G.T. Bynum has issued a proclamation recognizing January 16 as the National Day of Racial Healing in the City of Tulsa.
January 16 is celebrated as the National Day of Racial Healing across the U.S.to foster and promote intergroup dialogues. On this day, individuals, organizations, and communities come together to explore and build relationships to create a more just and equitable world. Tulsans are encouraged to engage with each other to create a more resilient and equitable city.
Since 2018, MORE has hosted more than 50 dialogues, trained over 90 facilitators, and reached nearly 500 Tulsans through these dialogues. Each dialogue typically has 8-12 participants and is led by 2 trained facilitators.
