A street rehabilitation project begins today on North Harvard Avenue between East Admiral Place and East Pine Street. For the first half of the project, traffic will be limited to one lane in each direction on Harvard Avenue between Admiral Place and Independence Street. These lane closures will be in effect until early August.
The second half of the project will begin in August, with traffic limited to one lane in each direction between Independence Street and Pine Street. The project consists of milling, or removing the top layer of asphalt, patching under the surface, and repaving the road with a new layer of asphalt. Sidewalks and wheelchair ramps also will be added as part of this project.
The City of Tulsa has contracted with Becco Contractors Inc. for this $3,557,000 project funded by the 2008 Third Penny Sales Tax (Fix Our Streets). Completion of the project is scheduled for November 2018.
