Construction will begin Wednesday, Aug. 30, to add a right-turn lane on South Elwood Avenue to turn east at West 71st Street. Lane closures and occasional total street closures will occur as needed.
Work hours for this project will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lanes will reopen in the evenings. Completion of this project is scheduled for the afternoon of Tuesday, Sept. 5.
Adding this turn lane will help traffic move more efficiently to serve the Jenks Northwest Elementary School, 7625 S. Elwood Ave.
