Primary citywide curbside greenwaste collection efforts from the June 18 windstorm are expected to wrap up the week of August 21 following a month-and-a-half of continuous work.

Since July 14, City contractors have collected nearly 370,000 cubic yards of greenwaste during the primary curbside greenwaste collection period. Nearly 700,000 cubic yards of greenwaste have been collected from the storm as a whole – an amount equal to double of what the City normally sees brought into the mulch site in one year.

Immediately following the completion of primary pickup, contractors will make one last pass through all residential streets to ensure all acceptable loads are collected. A map showing a last-pass timeline is available at www.cityoftulsa.org/greenwaste. During the last pass, contractors will work zone-by-zone, ensuring each zone is clear before moving into the next.

During the last pass, a special emphasis will be made for residences that contractors noted as having additional greenwaste that could not be brought to the curb during the primary collection period, or greenwaste that could not be picked up the first time around as a result of an obstruction (i.e. trees covering greenwaste, a car blocking access, etc.).

Residents who believe they may have been missed should:

If all of these guidelines have been followed, Tulsa residents can report a potential missed pickup to the City by calling 311 during business hours or submitting a report with their service address to tulsa311@cityoftulsa.org.

Bulky Waste Pickups
While Bulky Waste scheduling has already resumed, starting August 28, bulky waste scheduling for greenwaste and construction debris will resume. This service could be particularly valuable for gated communities where greenwaste collections did not occur. There is a $10 charge per eight cubic yards for bulky waste collection.
