North Memorial Drive between East Jasper Street and East King Place is closed to all traffic today for repair of a 12-inch waterline that broke this morning on the east side of the street, and for ongoing street maintenance on the west side of the street. Motorists will be directed to a detour on North 78th East Avenue.
Repair of the waterline is estimated to take approximately 10 hours. After the waterline repair is complete, the road will reopen to one lane of traffic in each direction.
Street maintenance in progress on Memorial Drive between Admiral Place and Pine Street consists of concrete panel repair, and is scheduled for completion in approximately two weeks. Funding for the project has come from the 2014 General Obligation Bond Issue (Improve Our Tulsa).
