The City of Tulsa and River Parks Authority will open a new public art installation on September 27 at 4 p.m., located along the Arkansas River near 19th and Riverside. The event will include remarks from City officials and Jamie Pierson from Scraps Designs and will give guests first access to the renewed landmark.

More than 70 submissions from around the world were reviewed for inclusion in the project. The overlook now features a curated selection of murals from 11 local artists. Curated and managed by Jamie Pierson of Scraps Designs, the artists worked together to ensure continuity and cohesion of design, color palette, and aesthetic.

In addition to the murals, River Parks installed new railings that provide safer and more consistent access to the overlook. The murals have also been sealed with a protective coating to preserve the art and reduce maintenance needs.
