Mayor Honors Two Tulsa Blue Employees for Their Exceptional Service

April 30, 2018 | Earlier this morning, Mayor G.T. Bynum presented Tulsa Blue certificates to two extraordinary City of Tulsa employees for their outstanding service to their colleagues and our community during a special recognition ceremony at City Hall.

“We are truly blessed with a dedicated and talented workforce here at the City of Tulsa. It is my great pleasure to recognize Rick Lisenbee and Gary McColphin for their outstanding commitment in going above and beyond to meet the needs of citizens and their co-workers. I greatly appreciate their desire and efforts at making a difference here and in our community. I commend them both for their examples of shining public service,” said Mayor Bynum.

Tulsa Blue is an employee recognition program that honors City of Tulsa employees who go above and beyond the execution of their duties in serving their co-workers and Tulsa citizens. Blue is the dominant color in the City of Tulsa logo and symbolizes the extraordinary customer service that is demonstrated on a daily basis to Tulsa citizens and City coworkers alike by exemplary City of Tulsa employees.

Tulsa Blue Honorees
Rick Lisenbee is a highly valued employee in the Water & Sewer Department and has served the City of Tulsa for nearly 25 years. As the Water/Wastewater Asset Management Systems Manager, Rick, throughout his long and successful career here, has demonstrated a fierce commitment in supporting various Departments and work groups in achieving their missions. He embodies the Tulsa Blue spirit of an outstanding public servant who is passionately dedicated to serving his fellow colleagues and the great citizens of Tulsa.

Gary McColpin has provided nearly 23 years of extraordinary service to the City of Tulsa and serves as the Street Operations and Inspections Manager for the Streets & Stormwater Department. He is highly valued for his tremendous efforts within his department to provide exceptional customer service to contractors, fellow co-workers and citizens alike. He strives to make the City of Tulsa a better place to work and is dedicated to answering questions with a proper and timely response. Gary is an excellent public servant and is highly regarded by his coworkers.
