Fire Prevention Week October 8-12;

The City of Tulsa Fire Department will hold a poster contest with 3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th from local Tulsa schools for the chance to win a ride in a fire truck! The theme this year is “Look, Listen, Learn, Be Aware! Fire Can Happen Anywhere.”

This contest is part of the Tulsa Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Week 2018 “A Smoke Alarm in Every Home.” During the week, the Tulsa Fire Department will be visiting local elementary schools to explain to students the importance of fire safety.

One child from each grade will win the poster contest and be eligible to ride in the fire truck, for a total of three winners.

• Monday, October 8: 3rd-grade poster winner will be driven to school in a Fire Truck
• Wednesday, October 10: 4th-grade poster winner will be driven to school in a Fire Truck
• Friday, October 12: 5th-grade poster winner will be driven to school in a Fire Truck
