The three eastbound lanes on East 71st Street just west of Mingo Road (9808 E. 71st St.) are closed due to pavement buckling, likely heat related. Traffic is detoured around the closure.
A contractor has been mobilized to begin repairs, with the goal of having the two outside lanes open by Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 1, and the center lane by either Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 2, or Thursday morning, Aug. 3.
