The first phase of a street rehabilitation project on East 101st Street between South Yale Avenue and South Florence Avenue is completed and the road is open to two-way through traffic between South Harvard Avenue and South Yale Avenue.
A second phase is needed for full completion of this project on 101st Street, and construction is scheduled to begin on June 5, between Marion and Jamestown avenues. The work will include replacement of a storm sewer box, an adjacent sanitary sewer line and a waterline, construction of three retaining walls and sidewalks on both sides of the road, and lowering the grade of the road west of Louisville Avenue.
East 101st Street will be completely closed between Marion and Jamestown avenues from June 5 until mid-August, just before the start of the 2018-2019 school year.
