East 101st Street Open to Two-Way Traffic between South Harvard and South Yale; Phase 2 to Begin June 5

The first phase of a street rehabilitation project on East 101^st Street between South Yale Avenue and South Florence Avenue is completed and the road is open to two-way through traffic between South Harvard Avenue and South Yale Avenue.

A second phase is needed for full completion of this project on 101^st Street, and construction is scheduled to begin on June 5, between Marion and Jamestown avenues. The work will include replacement of a storm sewer box, an adjacent sanitary sewer line and a waterline, construction of three retaining walls and sidewalks on both sides of the road, and lowering the grade of the road west of Louisville Avenue.

East 101^st Street will be completely closed between Marion and Jamestown avenues from June 5 until mid-August, just before the start of the 2018-2019 school year.
