The second half of the street rehabilitation project on West Fifth Street between South Denver Avenue and South Boulder Avenue begins today. Fifth Street is closed to all traffic between Cheyenne and Boulder avenues until late July, when the project is scheduled for completion.
Business access will be maintained throughout the project. The project includes new concrete pavement, waterline and storm sewer replacement, extra-wide sidewalks with brick pavers and stamped concrete, landscaping, pedestrian lighting, new traffic signals and conversion from one-way to two-way traffic.
The City of Tulsa has contracted with Tri-Star Construction for this $1,735,180 project funded by the 2014 General Obligation Bond Issue (Improve Our Tulsa).
