City Hall and other City facilities will be closed Monday, May 27, for Memorial Day. Public safety and mission-critical operations, however, will operate as normal. The Emergency Operations Center is still under 24-hour operations. Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the following 24-hour emergency numbers: water – (918) 596-9488, and sewer – (918) 586-6999.
Refuse and Recycling Services - updated 5/26
Refuse, recycling, yard waste and bulky waste will not be collected on Monday. Many customers will experience a change in their collection day(s), according to the following schedule:
Trash will be collected as roads are passable for Tulsa residents. From May 28 through June 1, the City will not collect recyclables due to the potential shortage of CNG due to operational challenges during the flooding event.
Beginning June 3, extra recycling that does not fit in the blue recycling cart can be placed next to the cart in a cardboard box or paper sack (extra recyclables cannot be placed is plastic bags).
We ask residents to please be patient, for the safety of our residents and workers are our first priority.
The City of Tulsa mulch site, 2100 N. 145th E. Ave., will be open Sunday, May 26, 2019 until 8 p.m. and open Monday, May 27 from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. It will reopen on Tuesday, May 28, and resume its usual schedule: seven days a week, 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
The City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter at 3031 N. Erie Ave. will be closed on Monday and will reopen on Tuesday, May 28, to resume its usual schedule. The shelter's usual hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The shelter is closed on Sundays and on City holidays.
Tulsa Parks offices and recreation centers will be closed on Monday, May 27. The Mohawk Park is closed due to flooding. Page Belcher golf course is open, and the Tulsa Zoo, is closed due to flooding. Red Bud Valley Nature Preserve will be closed on Monday. The Oxley Nature Center visitors’ center and trails are closed.
Gilcrease Museum and Tulsa Garden Center will be closed on Monday according to their usual schedules. The Greenwood Cultural Center also will be closed on Monday. Tulsa Performing Arts Center, including the ticket office, will be closed on Monday, but ticket sales will still be available at www.tulsapac.com
Tulsa Transit will not provide bus service on Memorial Day.
