City Hall, Other Facilities Closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23-24 for Thanksgiving Holiday; Trash Will Not Be Collected on Thanksgiving Day

City Hall, Municipal Court, and other City facilities will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Public safety and mission critical operations, however, will operate as normal. Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the following 24-hour emergency numbers: water - (918) 596-9488, and sewer - (918) 586-6999.  

There will be no refuse, recycling, bulky waste or yard waste collection on Thursday, Nov. 23. As a result, Thursday and Friday customers will experience a change in their collection schedule. Thursday customers will receive collection service on Friday, Nov. 24, and Friday customers will receive collection service on Saturday, Nov. 25.  

Customers with twice-a-week refuse service also will be affected as their secondary collection day will move forward one day. Monday/Thursday customers will be collected on Monday and Friday, and Tuesday/Friday customers will be collected on Tuesday and Saturday. 

The Household Pollutant Collection Facility at 4502 S. Galveston Ave. will be open for its usual schedule this week: open Wednesday, Nov. 22, and Saturday, Nov. 25, from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and noon to 4:30 p.m.  

The City's Mulch Site at 2100 N. 145th East Ave. will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24. It will resume its usual schedule on Saturday, Nov. 25. The usual schedule for the Mulch Site is Monday through Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and closed on Sunday. 

The City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter at 3031 N. Erie Ave. will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23, but open for normal hours Friday, Nov. 24, and through the weekend of Nov. 25 and Nov. 26. The shelter is usually open daily from 2 to 6 p.m.  

Tulsa Parks Community Centers will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24. Mohawk Park and Page Belcher golf courses will be closed on Nov. 23, but open on Nov. 24. Tulsa Zoo will be open on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23-24.  

Oxley Nature Center's visitor center will be closed Nov. 23-24, but the Oxley Nature Center trails will be open. Redbud Valley Nature Preserve remains closed.  

Tulsa Transit will not operate bus service on Thursday, Nov. 23, but will resume normal services on Friday, Nov. 24.
