The City of Tulsa Working in Neighborhoods Department has implemented a new code enforcement zone system to help incur faster response times for code violations throughout the city.

The new zone system allows neighborhood inspectors to focus on entire blocks within neighborhoods, rather than follow specific council district lines.

With this small efficiency change, inspectors expect to handle 5,000 more nuisance cases each year, which will help with beautification efforts in Tulsa neighborhoods.

On average, inspectors respond to 500 code violations per week. The most common code violations include: tall grass, trash/debris in yard, inoperable motor vehicles and vacant or unsecured structures.

Residents can report a code violation or request an inspection by visiting, www.Tulsa311.com or by calling 311.
