City Hall and other City facilities will be closed Monday, May 28, for Memorial Day. Public safety and mission critical operations, however, will operate as normal. Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the following 24-hour emergency numbers: water – (918) 596-9488, and sewer – (918) 586-6999.
Refuse, recycling, yard waste and bulky waste will not be collected on Monday. Many customers will experience a change in their collection day(s), according to the following schedule:
For customers with once-a-week collection services
For customers with twice-a-week collection services, Monday and Thursday customers will be collected on Tuesday and Friday; Tuesday and Friday customers will be collected on Wednesday and Saturday; Wednesday and Saturday customers will be collected on Thursday and Saturday.
The City of Tulsa mulch site at 2100 N. 145th E. Ave. will be closed on Monday, May 28. It will reopen on Tuesday, May 29, and resume its usual schedule of seven days a week, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., except for City holidays.
The City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter at 3031 N. Erie Ave. will be closed on Monday and will reopen on Tuesday, May 29, to resume its usual schedule. The shelter's usual hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The shelter is closed on Sundays and on City holidays.
Tulsa Parks offices and recreation centers will be closed on Monday, May 28. Mohawk Park and Page Belcher golf courses and the Tulsa Zoo, however, will be open on Monday. Red Bud Valley Nature Preserve will be closed on Monday. The Oxley Nature Center visitors’ center will be closed, but the trails will be open.
Gilcrease Museum and Tulsa Garden Center will be closed on Monday according to their usual schedules. Tulsa Performing Arts Center also will be closed on Monday, including the ticket office. Ticket sales will still be available through MyTicketOffice.com.
Tulsa Transit will not provide bus service on Memorial Day.
