City Hall, Facilities to Close Dec. 22, 25 for Christmas, Jan. 1 for New Year’s

City Hall and other City facilities will be closed Friday, Dec. 22, and Monday, Dec. 25, for the Christmas holiday, and Monday, Jan. 1, 2018, for the New Year’s holiday. Public safety and mission critical operations, however, will operate as normal. Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the following 24-hour emergency numbers: water – (918) 596-9488, and sewer – (918) 586-6999.

The City of Tulsa will observe Dec. 22 as its Christmas Eve holiday, and will reopen for business on Dec. 26. This will allow for processing of employees’ Dec. 29 paychecks. The exception is Tulsa’s Municipal Court, which will be open on Dec. 22, and closed on Dec. 26.

Trash collection will move forward one day for the weeks of Dec. 25-30, and Jan. 1-6, 2018.

The City’s mulch site at 2100 N. 145th East Ave. will be closed Dec. 22-25, and Jan. 1, 2018 On Jan. 2, it will resume its usual schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week, excluding City holidays. The Household Pollutant Collection Facility, 4502 S. Galveston Ave., will be closed on Dec. 23.

The City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter, 3031 N. Erie Ave., will be open regular hours – noon to 6 p.m. – on Dec. 22, and regular hours – noon to 4 p.m. – on Dec. 23. The shelter will be closed Dec. 24-25, and Jan. 1, 2018. Tulsa Animal Welfare field services will be on stand-by only from Dec. 22-25. Animal Welfare will resume normal hours Dec. 26-30, and again on Jan. 2 – noon to 6 p.m. weekdays, noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, and closed Sunday.

Oxley Nature Center’s visitor center will be closed Dec. 22-25 and Jan. 1, 2018, but the trails will be open on those days. All of Redbud Valley Nature Preserve will be closed Dec. 22-25, and Jan. 1, 2018.

Tulsa Parks community centers will be closed Dec. 22-25, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, 2018. Mohawk Park and Page Belcher golf courses will be open Dec. 24 and Dec. 31, but closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The Tulsa Zoo will be closed only on Dec. 25.

Gilcrease Museum will be open Dec. 24 and Dec. 31, but closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, 2018, according to its usual schedule. Tulsa Garden Center will be closed Dec. 22 through Jan. 1, 2018, and will reopen on Jan. 2.

Tulsa Performing Arts Center administrative offices will be closed Dec. 22, Dec. 25, and Jan. 1, 2018. Stage performances will be held as scheduled. The box office will open two hours before shows: at 5 p.m. on Dec. 22, and at noon and 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 23. Ticket sales also will be available through MyTicketOffice.com.

Tulsa Transit will provide regular service on Dec. 22-24. Tulsa Transit will not operate any service on Dec. 25, and Jan. 1, 2018.
