City Hall, Facilities Closed Monday, Jan. 20, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day; Trash, Recycling Will Be Collected

City Hall and other City facilities will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Public safety and mission critical operations, however, will operate as normal. Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the following 24-hour emergency numbers: water – (918) 596-9488, and sewer – (918) 586-6999.         

Residential refuse, recycling, yard waste and bulky waste all will be collected on Monday according to the regular schedule.

The City of Tulsa mulch site at 2100 N. 145th East Ave. will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20. It will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 21, to resume its normal schedule of seven days a week, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., except for City holidays.

The City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter, 3031 N. Erie Ave., will be open for regular hours on Monday, Jan. 20 – noon to 6 p.m. Also on Monday, Animal Welfare field officers will respond to calls between 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. The schedule for field officers recently expanded to seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The regular hours for the animal shelter are noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Tulsa Parks recreation centers all will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20, including Oxley Nature Center’s visitor center and Redbud Valley Nature Preserve. The Oxley Nature Center trails will be open. Mohawk Park Golf Course and Page Belcher Golf Course, as well as the Tulsa Zoo, will be open on Monday.

Tulsa Transit will operate regular bus service on Monday, Jan. 20.
