The City of Tulsa’s Office of Financial Empowerment and Community Wealth, along with several partnering organizations, will host two information sessions regarding how to best prepare for student loan payments that will restart in October of this year.
Attendees can choose from two sessions on Saturday, Sept. 30: 10 a.m. to noon or 1 to 3 p.m. Sessions will run concurrently across three locations:
Tulsa Public Schools Parent Resource Center, 525 E. 46th St. North
Representatives from the Student Borrower Protection Center will give a presentation on updating contact information, verifying loan servicers, and details on available repayment plans.
Volunteers will be on site to help attendees access the Federal Student Aid website, verify their loan servicer as some have changed during the payment pause, utilize the repayment plan calculator, and find other resources.
The presentation will last around 30 minutes, followed by an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and speak individually with volunteers.
