For seven years in a row, the City of Tulsa will celebrate 918 Day, which showcases Tulsa’s community pride. Mayor Bynum launched 918 Day Tulsa in 2018 as part of the Resilient Tulsa Strategy. Since the induction of 918 Day, businesses and Tulsans have embraced the day with discounts, events and activities to celebrate Tulsa.
The City of Tulsa will have two areas of focus for the day, the Mayor’s Tour of Tulsa and digital graphics Tulsans can use to show their community pride on social media channels.
Mayor’s Tour or Tulsa
Mayor Bynum will set out on his last Tour of Tulsa as mayor on Wednesday, Sept. 18 from 9:18 a.m. – 9:18 p.m. Throughout the day, Mayor Bynum will travel to various Tulsa destinations in the city while detailing his trip on social media. You can follow the Mayor’s Tour of Tulsa on Facebook @Mayor GT Bynum.
The mayor will make a stop at a longtime partner of 918 Day, Mythic Press, and attend premier events including the groundbreaking of Tulsa’s newest Animal Shelter.
918 Day Graphics
In addition to the Mayor’s Tour of Tulsa, social media graphics are available for download to help celebrate the 918 on September 18. Individuals can upload the graphics on their social media accounts to show their Tulsa pride. All 918 Day graphics can be found
online.
