Bridge Rehabilitation Project at 4200 S. Memorial Dr. to Begin Thursday, Aug. 2

August 2, 2018 - A rehabilitation project for the bridge over Bell Creek at 4200 S. Memorial Dr. will begin on Thursday, Aug. 2, when the contractor will place equipment and materials. A message board has been posted within the past week to notify motorists of this project in advance.

On Friday, Aug. 3, work will start on the west side of Memorial, and the southbound curb lane will be closed. Later during this project, work will move to the east side of Memorial, and the northbound curb lane will be closed.

This project includes replacing the bridge headwalls, replacing the guardrail with concrete parapet walls, and adding sidewalks to on both sides of the bridge. The City of Tulsa has contracted with Crossland Heavy Contractors for this $274,000 project, funded by the 2014 Third Penny Sales Tax (Improve Our Tulsa).

Completion of the project is scheduled for the end of October.
