Tulsa Animal Welfare is participating in the national Clear the Shelters adoption event on Saturday, Aug. 19. The Animal Welfare Shelter, 3031 N. Erie Ave., will be open from noon to 6 p.m. that day to accommodate the large crowds that are anticipated. In 2016, Tulsa Animal Welfare had 168 adoptions on Clear the Shelters day.
The adoption fee is $10 for any cat or dog at Tulsa Animal Welfare on Clear the Shelters day. That fee includes spaying or neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, and rabies vaccination. For an additional $15, adopters can get a microchip.
