As part of reconstruction of the intersection of North Lewis Avenue and East 36th Street, East 36th Street will be closed to all traffic between North Lewis Avenue and Mohawk Boulevard from Friday, Feb. 9, until the end of May.
This work is part of a larger project – reconstruction of North Lewis Avenue between East 36th Street and East 46th Street, including the intersection at each end. Also as part of the project, traffic on Lewis Avenue is limited to one lane in each direction between Mohawk Boulevard and 42nd Street North until the end of March.
The City of Tulsa has contracted with Crossland Heavy Contractors for this $7,473,230 project funded by the 2008 Third Penny Sales Tax (Fix Our Streets). The project began in February 2017 and is scheduled for completion in September 2018.
