36th St North between Lewis and Mohawk Blvd. to Close for Project

As part of reconstruction of the intersection of North Lewis Avenue and East 36^th Street, East 36^th Street will be closed to all traffic between North Lewis Avenue and Mohawk Boulevard from Friday, Feb. 9, until the end of May.

This work is part of a larger project – reconstruction of North Lewis Avenue between East 36^th Street and East 46^th Street, including the intersection at each end. Also as part of the project, traffic on Lewis Avenue is limited to one lane in each direction between Mohawk Boulevard and 42^nd Street North until the end of March.

The City of Tulsa has contracted with Crossland Heavy Contractors for this $7,473,230 project funded by the 2008 Third Penny Sales Tax (Fix Our Streets). The project began in February 2017 and is scheduled for completion in September 2018.
