2025 Water Quality Report Demonstrates City’s Commitment to Safe, Reliable Water Service

Water Quality Report Available Online and with Utility Bills Starting in June

The City of Tulsa has released its 2025 Water Quality Report, with results showing the City’s drinking water continues to meet or exceed all federal and state health standards.

Starting in June, Tulsa utility customers will be receiving the annual water quality report with their utility bills. The report can also be found on the City of Tulsa website at www.cityoftulsa.org/waterquality.

The annual report, required under the federal Safe Drinking Water Act, provides detailed information about testing and monitoring performed in 2024. It shows that Tulsa’s treated drinking water met, and in most cases exceeded, all Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards. 2025 data shows the City's water system continues to deliver clean and reliable water, ensuring that all utility customers have safe water that is free of bacteria and other harmful substances.

“This report reflects the City’s ongoing commitment to providing clean, safe drinking water to everyone within Tulsa and the neighboring communities we serve,” said Eric Lee, Director of Water & Sewer. “Behind these results is a team of dedicated employees who work everyday to protect public health and ensure reliability of our water system.”

Tulsa’s water is sourced from lakes Oologah, Spavinaw, Eucha, and Hudson, and treated at two City-owned water treatment plants before it reaches residents’ taps. Water is tested throughout the year to ensure continued compliance with health-based standards and to proactively address potential concerns.

While the Water Quality Report focuses on the technical data, it also underscores the value of ongoing investment in Tulsa’s water infrastructure. Utility rates help fund equipment, infrastructure repairs, operations, and personnel required to maintain the system that keeps water flowing safely every day.

"We recognize that every dollar spent on utility services matters. This report reflects the high standards we maintain to deliver safe, reliable drinking water, and it underscores the value our customers receive through continued investment in critical infrastructure and system improvements,” Lee added.

The Water Quality Report is also provided to municipal water systems that purchase water from Tulsa. Anyone who does not receive a copy and wishes to see one can request it from the City of Tulsa's Customer Care Center by calling 311, or (918) 596-9777 (from outside the city limits).

Oversight of Tulsa’s water and sewer systems is provided by the Tulsa Metropolitan Utility Authority (TMUA). Information about TMUA is available online at www.cityoftulsa.org/TMUA.
