1921 Graves Investigation Update; September 13

The third excavation at Oaklawn Cemetery as part of the 1921 Graves Investigation continued this week with one set of remains exhumed today, and a second expected to be exhumed tomorrow.  

The set of remains that was exhumed today was transferred to the on-site osteology lab for forensic analysis. 

During this excavation, the Physical Investigation Team has exposed 22 grave shafts. Hand excavation work has started on some of the grave shafts that were found last week.
