Tulsa Parks will host a Co-ed Spring Soccer league for students in kindergarten through fifth grade, thanks to a partnership with the local professional soccer club, FC Tulsa.

After a recommendation from the Greenwood Cultural Center Board, Mayor G.T. Bynum selected the Moody Nolan / JCJ Architecture team to lead the Greenwood Cultural Center’s renovation project. Moody Nolan will oversee the design and serve as a cultural adviser for the renovations, JCJ Architecture will be the local architect of record.
Starting Monday, July 13, the City of Tulsa will resume the test excavation for the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Graves Investigation with the University of Oklahoma - Oklahoma Archaeological Survey (OAS) on July 13 at Oaklawn Cemetery. The test excavation is expected to take three to six days. Each day, work will begin around 7 a.m. and end at approximately 3 p.m. depending on the heat. On the first day of work, the team will conduct site preparations and begin the initial soil removal. The full test excavation is expected to begin on Tues., July 14.

Following two years of planning and eight public meetings across the city, three ballot proposals will head to Tulsa residents for a Nov. 12 vote to fund Improve Our Tulsa, the City’s basic streets and infrastructure program.
Local nonprofit arts organizations are invited to apply for the next round of grants from the Vision Arts program managed by the City of Tulsa, Tulsa Arts Commission and Tulsa Planning Office. Nov. 30 is the deadline for applications for these grants funded through the Vision Tulsa sales tax. A total of $2,250,000 was approved by voters in 2016 as part of the Vision Tulsa capital package to support the arts in Tulsa and enhance their economic impact.
Mayor G.T. Bynum recognized the winners of the 2020 Women of the Year-Pinnacle Awards at a ceremony in City Hall. The Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women and YWCA Tulsa present these awards annually to recognize outstanding achievements by Tulsa women.
