We have kicked-off our 9th Annual Stock the Station Food Drive that will help Tulsans in need this holiday season. The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma (CFBEO) will be the recipient of food and donations collected by the food drive and will be able to deliver goods to 111 Partner Programs located in Tulsa proper. Residents can drop-off non-perishable food items to any Tulsa Fire Station, Tulsa Police Station, Tulsa City-County Regional Library or Tulsa City Hall from Nov. 12 - Dec. 13.
Tulsa has moved up in 2021 from a Class 2 ranking to a Class 1, the highest possible ranking in the National Flood Insurance Program’s Community Rating System. With Tulsa’s Class 1 rating, National Flood Insurance Program policies issued or renewed in the city limits are eligible for a 45-percent discount in premium costs starting in April 2022.
Drivers with outstanding municipal parking tickets can participate in our Parking Ticket Amnesty Monday, October 28 through Friday, November 8. The ticket owner can pay pre-set parking citations at City Hall or Municipal Court without late fees. If a ticket owner needs to set up a payment plan, they will need to be added to a daily docket with one of our Municipal Courts judges. Read more for details.
Mayor G.T. Bynum and family members of the late James Kavin Ross unveiled an honorary street sign renaming East 11th Street and South Peoria Avenue as “J Kavin Ross Drive.” The sign is on the northwest corner of the intersection, near Oaklawn Cemetery.

Since the return of curbside recycling January 31, the City of Tulsa has noticed a higher-than-average number of contaminated recycling carts. Most contamination has been seen in the form of plastic bags, Styrofoam, and other non-recyclable materials. Contaminated carts are not picked up and are identified with a yellow or white tag.

Crews are working to conduct stormwater repairs at E. 14th St. and S. Utica Ave. During this time, Utica will be limited to one lane in each direction. Work is expected to be finished, with all lanes open, by Monday, April 8.

All people within the city of Tulsa have the right to non-discriminatory housing, City services, and access to public accommodations. Title V of the City of Tulsa’s Revised Ordinances outlines various policies, definitions, and prohibited acts related to human rights, as well as establishes a Human Rights Commission to promote non-discrimination in the City of Tulsa.
City Hall, Municipal Court and other City facilities will be closed Thursday, Nov. 26, and Friday, Nov. 27, for the Thanksgiving holiday. A furlough closure on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 25, will precede the holiday. Public safety and mission critical operations, however, will operate as normal.
