American Dental Association Amalgam BMP
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has finalized rules to establish pretreatment standards for dental offices. Dentists are required to control discharges of dental amalgam pollutants into POTWs. This rule, 40 CFR Part 441, sets the Effluent Limitations Guidelines and Standards for the Dental Category. The rule was finalized on June 14, 2017.
