How to Adopt A Spot:

Select a Location and secure approval

• We recommend a:
  • Park - Tulsa has over 130 parks ready for volunteers
  • Street - Tulsa has hundreds of miles of streets where you can make a difference
  • Stream – Tulsa is a river city and clean water is one of our top priorities
• Commit to our Adopt A Spot program for one, three or five years
• Read the safety information and submit a signed release and waiver for you and your organization 
• Get started cleaning a location
• For specific requests contact us directly at adoptaspot@cityoftulsa.org 

What volunteers can expect: 

• Supplies such as trash bags, gloves, grabbers, and vests (determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on the size of the group and availability) 
• Certificate of adoption/recognition signs (Note: sign requirements may differ based on the location adopted) 
  • Adopt A Spot sign policy  
• Recognition on the City of Tulsa's social media pages (send us your pictures!) 

Approval Process: 

• City of Tulsa personnel will contact you or your organization to approve the adopted spot. 
• City of Tulsa personnel may schedule training on an as-needed basis according to availability of staff.
