National Mentoring Month

Volunteer opportunity description:

Reading Partners needs an additional 500 volunteers to serve students who are still waiting for tutors this year. In as little as one hour a week, you can empower a young student to gain the reading skills they need to become a proficient reader. With only 15 weeks left of tutoring this school year, that’s as little as 15 hours to make a difference in the life of a student who is waiting for you. 

Volunteer requirements:

No experience is needed to volunteer. Volunteers are provided an easy-to-follow, structured curriculum and full-time support from a site coordinator. Reading Partners asks that volunteers commit just an hour a week at any of their 28 reading centers across Tulsa. Consider volunteering at one of our highest need reading centers: Wayman Tisdale Fine Arts Academy, Burroughs Elementary, and Skelly Elementary.
