New Hope began in 1992 as a volunteer run summer camp for children whose parents were incarcerated. The camp grew quickly, and many campers returned in their teenage years as counselors-in-training. By 2003, New Hope had expanded to provide services throughout the year for children with a parent in prison. Soon, more camps, retreats, and holiday programming were added.
Today, New Hope is a non-profit which supports more than 500 children across Oklahoma through after-school programs, summer camps, retreats, holiday parties, community groups, and case management.
