The hospice volunteer is perhaps the most valuable member of Elara Caring Team. Hospice volunteers come from all walks of life. They range in age from young to more mature. A volunteer may have been a spouse or family member of a former patient. They may be a high school or college student. In some cases, a volunteer is a former patient themselves.
Each volunteer is a key piece of the individual team assigned to each patient and family. Elara Caring encourages volunteer input and collaboration to meet each patient and family’s specific needs and deliver exceptional hospice services focused on optimizing the patient/family experience and quality of life. Volunteer voices matter! There are many different types of volunteer opportunities at Elara Caring, and each volunteer will have the opportunity to provide input on where they would like to spend their time volunteering. The decision to give back by becoming a hospice volunteer is greatly appreciated by Elara Caring healthcare professionals We understand and realize that it takes a special kind of person to become a volunteer and commit their time to someone in need. Elara Caring team of volunteers are extremely important to our patients, our community and our staff. A few opportunities we have to offer are Patient Companionship, Administrative, Cosmetology, Massage Therapy, Lawn Care, etc. Reach out today if you want to impact the lives of our hospice patients and their families.
