  • Surplus cannot be released 1 month prior to the date of an auction, EXCEPT in the case of an emergency as
    approved by the Purchasing Agent.
  • If the surplus equipment you desire belongs to an enterprise fund department (PW, APT, RPA, TDA, EMD), then
    a written release/agreement must be obtained from these departments and must be submitted to the Surplus
    Coordinator.

Delivering a Vehicle? Please follow these rules:

  1. All trash and debris must removed from vehicles before delivery to Surplus Facility.
  2. Vehicle tires must be aired up or repaired to hold air.
  3. Vehicles and other motorized equipment must be delivered with at least 1/4 tank of fuel.
  4. All equipment must have a completed surplus form.

Yes, but it’s best to call ahead to ensure someone is at the yard.

What are the hours of the surplus facility?
Drop off hours: 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Can someone pick my surplus items up?
Finance does not have the staff available to pick up items from City departments.  

Do I have to have a form?
Yes, all surplus items need to have a surplus form attached.

Do I have to have a form with every item?
Each fixed asset must have a surplus form. If your items do not have a fixed asset number, you can put up to five non-fixed assets on a surplus form.

What are the hours of the surplus facility?
The facility is open for drop-off between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Please make an appointment first to ensure staff is on-site to accept your items. 

How do I surplus old computers?
All surplus computers need to go to IT since the hard drives will need to be removed. IT will then coordinate delivery to the Surplus warehouse.
