The Blue Ribbon Commission is a City of Tulsa task force dedicated to Advanced Aerial Mobility (drones, emerging technologies) that is made up of 19 organizations representing public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Throughout 2024, the Commission met monthly to come up with a set of recommendations to make Tulsa the "Drone Capital of the World."
The Commission is supported by a consortium of regional partners including higher education institutions, area tribal nations, economic development organizations and industry leaders that have helped unlock more than $215 million in investment to grow Tulsa’s tech economy with a focus on Advanced Aerial Mobility. That investment has since grown to nearly $250 million and was validated by Tulsa’s designation as a national Tech Hub.
